MediaFreedom GLOBAL was combined with Microsoft SmoothStreaming and Silverlight to provide a seamless experience for HBO GO Central Europe's Viewers.

HBO required a technology partner to help reach a wider audience and strengthen their cable TV offering.

We provided the full design and development of the webTV site, including the installation of Point of Presence hardware. Microsoft® Smooth Streaming, Silverlight and PlayReady DRM technologies are used in conjunction with Twofour's webTV platform, MediaFreedom, to produce a seamless user experience. 

Drawing on Twofour's creative excellence and solid development credentials, we successfully launched in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Admin GUIOur HTML admin system is supported by all major browsers and is also available on Apple iOS, Android and Blackberry. Unlimited
Manage Channels (Playlists)Create new channels (or playlists) with the simple drag and drop interface. Then simply copy the embed code into your site.
Content taggingUse tagwords to easily tag your content, this enables you to use our search feature to easily discover your content.
RSS Feeds
Support for subtitlesCurrent support for time text and STL format subtitles. Simply upload the subtitles alongside your videos and our embed players will provide the ability to switch them on/off in the player.
Moderation/Preview of contentHTML admin system provides a comprehensive preview player enabling you to preview all your content. Our simple 'one-click' publish allows you to quickly and easily publish or un-publish content.
YouTube SyndicationPublish to your You Tube channel from the MediaFreedom admin interface. Simply 'syndicate' your content directly to your You Tube account.
Metadata search
Custom metadataAllows you to easily add key/value pairs. This enables you to add as much custom metadata you wish to your programme.
Manage CategoriesMediaFreedom allows you to easily categorise your content. Create a full hierachy for your content from our simple admin interface - then simply add the programmes to your categories. We can automate this on ingest should you require it.
Dynamic categorisation (most watched, most recent)By using our dynamic categorisation we can create 'Most Watched' or 'Most Recent' content categories. These can then be exposed to the front end to enhance the search capability of your front end.
Chapter point creationFrom the admin system you can simply create chapter points within your video. This allows you to target certain points of a longer video - add 'Title' metadata allowing your users to easily click to a certain point in the video. Chapter Points are supported in multiple languages.
Basic API Access (Categories, Channels)Basic API Access gives you the power to build your own sites or players. Rather than using our own White Label Site or embed players you can use our extensive API's to build your own front end site or players. Basic API access is restricted to channels/categories and delivery.
.NET ADK AvailableDownload our .NET SDK to allow you to easily harness the power of the MediaFreedom API's.
Multiple languages supported (3 Included)MediaFreedom has support for multiple languages. You can store videos and metadata against each language giving your end users the flexibility to select between languages. Use GEOIP to further enhance this feature and automatically locate your user location.
Full API AccessFull API Access gives you the power to build your own sites or players. Rather than using our own White Label Site or embed players you can use our extensive API's to build your own front end site or players. Full API access allows you to use the full range of API's.

Delivery to Mobile Devices - Progressive DownloadWe use HTTP progressive download to most mobile devices. This type of delivery avoids complex or proprietary streaming protocols and is therefore supported across the majority of devices.
Delivery to Mobile Devices - Adaptive DownloadWe can currently support adaptive delivery to Apple iOS devices (both iPAD/iPHONE) this uses the Apple HLS format. This allows for a mutli-bitrate live streaming experience.
Embed Player (JW + SMF + HTML5) default skinUsing our new 'best player' technology we make use of silverlight, flash and HTML5. Rather than using just one technology we will detect the device that you are accessing the video from and deliver the optimum viewing experience. This extends to both PC, MAC and mobile.
Channel (Playlist) Embed PlayerOur Channel embed player allows you to embed a full channel into your website. So you can simply create a channel or playlist in MediaFreedom, grab the embed code and simply drop the code in your site. The channel player uses our best player technology ensuring we deliver the best possible viewing experience. The channel list can be either to the side or underneath the player and is accessible on all devices (including mobile).
Support For Live StreamsMediaFreedom can support live streams. Simply copy the live URL into the programme and MediaFreedom will do the rest. We can support all common formats including, Flash, Smooth Streaming, HLS and many more.
